Enabling Collaboration in Complex Project Integration

A large Norwegian O&G company aimed to seamlessly integrate two ongoing complex offshore projects without delaying the milestones of either project in order to capture synergies. We designed and led a 3-day integration kickoff conference that aligned leadership on the strategy and challenges of the merger, and built relationships and functional action plans to enable collaboration across the integrated teams.

The integration of these two projects were a critical goal for the O&G company, as the financial and functional incentives were extremely high. But the success of the integration depended on efficient collaboration and open communication across these two highly technical, fast paced projects.


We partnered with the client to design a 3-day agenda, and trained client facilitators to co-facilitate the meeting with over 70 attendees in Oslo, Norway.

  • A senior leadership alignment session where we aligned on the key challenges, goals, and strategy to achieve integration success

  • A whole project teambuilding session to develop the mindsets and skills critical to open communication and efficient collaboration

  • A functional action planning session to identify and overcome the risks of integration
